FAQ
What is Mirumi?
Mirumi is a small interactive bag charm robot by Yukai Engineering in Tokyo. It rides on your bag and quietly reacts to the world around it — glancing toward sounds, growing bashful when you touch it, and leaning into your hand when you pet its head. It is about 14cm tall, made of custom Japanese faux fur in three colourways: Pink, Ivory and Gray.
What does Mirumi actually do?
It notices you. Mirumi turns toward sounds, gets shy when you touch it, and nuzzles into a hand that pets it. It has no practical function — it does not track anything, hold anything or notify you of anything. Its only job is to be a little companion, and that is the point.
What is Mirumi?
Mirumi “feels” through a touch sensor in its head and “hears” through two sound sensors in its body. These signals pass through an onboard IC chip, allowing Mirumi to generate countless natural-feeling reactions, which are brought to life by servo motors.
How long does the battery last?
Around 8 hours of companionship on a single charge — enough for a full day out. It recharges over USB-C with the included cable.
How do I charge Mirumi?
Mirumi recharges via USB-C using the included cable. When its battery is low, it shakes its head tiredly. Once charging is complete and the cable is unplugged, Mirumi lifts its head energetically to let you know it’s ready to go.
Is it waterproof, and how do I care for it?
No — Mirumi prefers to stay dry. Keep it out of the rain, and clean it gently with a soft, dry brush.
What age is Mirumi suitable for?
Mirumi is designed for ages 15 and up. It is a fashion accessory rather than a toy, with small parts and delicate fur.
What is your return policy?
